Thank you for posting this video – I think it’s important for performers to know this stuff getting in. (Or anybody really…)
On a related note I hopped over to your YouTube channel and it’s gone. 🙁 Man, I your channel was fantastic. Will you be able to get it back?
I tend to think if all new adult performers first had to watch this entire video before performing, there would be much less regrets.
When I first started skydiving years ago (I’ve since made 174 jumps) they made me watch a video that explained the potential danger. Only after watching that video, and signing a waiver of liability, would they allow me to board the plane and actually do it. I loved it and continued though.. heh.
I really hope that all new folks just getting into the adult business are able to view this before making their first scene. I dig the whole pr0n thing, but I don’t really want to watch someone perform who has no idea what they’re getting into. I just don’t want to see anyone being taken advantage of..
(I’ve been a fan of your blog since late 2005)
You’re a good dude, Billy Watson. 🙂
I found the part about paying taxes pretty amusing…..as in, wondering how many performers actually do bother to pay/report income….
This whole trying to dignify porn thing is really unfortunate, imo. I can understand that it could be beneficial for the industry to further destigmatize the biz in the face of severe downturn of the past few years. But in courting normals you turn your back on the raincoater crowd that get off on degradation and humiliation of women… you know, classic porn values that sustained the industry for decades. Porn just isn’t nearly as fun in the X-art couples porn era we are currently in with a bunch of sex positive pseudointellect women running around pretending that they like what they are doing.
