I first met Avi Love on set for Dogfart last year, and I was immediately smitten with her. I’m a sucker for a lot of things: blue-eyed brunettes, the way the back of a woman’s thighs, and the sound of a woman’s voice. Not that those are all Avi’s traits, but she’s amazing. It’s a difficult thing to define, but there’s a tone and quality of Avi Love’s voice that pushes my buttons…among other things Avi Love.
I like making pictures, and I think it’s really difficult to make interesting ones. It’s not a question of “good” or “bad” for me. I want to h and someone a copy of a picture and do the double-take, you know? I hand them the picture, they look at it, they look up at me, and look back at the image before giving an opinion. It’s something I strive to do. In our digital era, there’s more pictures made in a single day than were made in the entire era of film cameras. Herein lies the challenge — making an image that’s, on some sort of level, interesting.
I’m addicted to flea markets…although I’ve been doing a pretty good job of weening myself off them, lately. Old, amateur snapshots are my thing, and there’s usually a lot of them. The ones that attract me are the interesting ones, but that’s not always an easy thing to define. So here’s what’s not interesting to me: baby photos and people-standing-next-to-their-new-car photos and presents-under-the-tree photos and picnic photos, just off the top of my head. While those pictures served an important purpose for a very limited amount of people over a very limited amount of time, they’ve been retired now to the pile of things people sell at a flea market for 25 or 50 cents. But every once in a while, you find a picture that spans time.
Not that any of my pictures span time, but that’s my intention. That…and making quality smut my members enjoy. Avi’s a fantastic performer, as you can see by her trailer over at Mr. POV, so listen in as Avi and I catch up after not seeing each other for a little while.
