One of the things I love about my job is taking pictures “behind the scenes” — for lack of a better term. I call them “arty-farty” shots. Eric Kroll is a heavy influence, but I don’t work like him. Usually I don’t pose the models — other than to tell them not to pose. They’re models for a reason, so when they see a camera pointed their way, they drop whatever it is they’re doing to strike some sort of pose…even if it’s just to look at the camera and smile. “Don’t pose!” I’ll say…Don’t smile! Don’t look at me! Just go back and do whatever it is you were doing!
I’ll post these from time to time…I just wish I could remember everyone’s name.
